Patient Terms of Use

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

PodScribe by podiatry-scribe.com. Built in collaboration with practicing podiatrists.

These are the patient-facing terms. They apply to you if you use a practice's online booking page or patient portal hosted by PodScribe. They are not the staff Terms of Use for clinicians and practices who subscribe to PodScribe. Staff terms remain at /terms.
This page is a stub for carrier and product onboarding. Online booking and a general patient portal are not generally available until a practice enables them in a later product slice. These terms apply when a practice does enable those features. Nothing here is a promise that a particular practice already offers booking or a portal, or that a request is confirmed the moment you submit it.

1. Who these terms are with

Your care relationship is with the treating podiatry practice, not with PodScribe. PodScribe LLC ("PodScribe") provides the software the practice uses. When you submit a booking request or sign in to a portal, you are dealing with that practice through our site.

By using a booking page or portal, you also agree to the Patient Privacy page. SMS, when enabled, is covered by the SMS Terms. Payments, when enabled, are covered by Patient Payments.

2. Online booking requests are reviewed by staff

A booking submission is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Practice staff review requests and confirm, decline, or follow up. You should not assume a slot is yours until the practice confirms it (for example by a staff message, a phone call, or another notice the practice sends after review).

PodScribe does not promise instant appointment confirmation. Availability shown on a booking page, when that page exists, is an offer of times the practice has chosen to publish. The practice may still need to match you to a chart, check a visit type, or adjust the time.

3. Patient portal

A patient portal, when a practice enables one, is a way to view information the practice has released and to complete tasks the practice offers (for example forms or a pay link). Portal access is not generally available to every patient of every practice. Availability, what you can see, and who may act for a family member are set by the practice and by later product slices. This stub does not grant a right to a portal account.

4. No medical advice from PodScribe

PodScribe does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Content on a booking or portal page is for coordinating care with your practice. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use a booking form or portal message for emergencies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false identity or contact information;
  • Use a booking or portal surface to harass staff or other patients;
  • Attempt to access another person's account or chart;
  • Probe, scrape, or overload the service.

6. Changes

We may update these patient terms by posting a new version on this page. The date at the top will change. Continued use of an enabled booking or portal surface after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. Contact

For appointments, records, or clinical questions: contact your practice.
